Abstract
This study is to introduces a new “stochastic method” for analysis in mixed-effects meta-analysis. Using simulation, we compare the performance of this new method with conventional methods of estimation for two types of effect size measures. Results indicate that the under certain conditions this new method outperforms the conventional approach.
