Testing a Behavioral Monitoring System to Reduce Excess Disability Among Persons with Dementia

Behavioral and psychological symptoms in dementia impact the quality of life of individuals with dementia and can lead to excess disability and harmful medication use. This study tested the use of a behavioral monitoring system to mitigate excess disability by identifying adverse events leading to precipitous but correctable behavior changes.
