College Females Value Greater Partner Similarities and Future Plans in Romantic Relationships

Are there gender differences in mate preferences? We examined different relational traits in undergraduates at a private university in the U.S. Students reported how much they valued similarity the following relational traits: faithfulness, financial security and domestic ability. Results showed that females did value differing relational traits than males.
