Abstract

The present study examined whether dyadic and individual socioemotional flexibility in a mother-daughter conflict discussion predicted mothers’ and daughters’ psychosocial well-being. Dyadic flexibility was a stronger predictor of well-being compared to individual flexibility. Both dyadic and individual flexibility had a greater impact on mothers’ internalizing problems than daughters’ internalizing problems.
