Abstract

Mothers’ perspectives of family cohesion related to maternal neuroticism were investigated with an autoregressive latent trajectory analysis (ALT). Results revealed that maternal neuroticism was a detriment to family cohesion during childhood. Overtime, early family cohesion influenced later family cohesion. However, maternal neuroticism was not related to the change in cohesion.
