The Effects of the Muscular Ideal Prime in a Lexical Decision Task

Research has shown body dissatisfaction is prevalent among males and associated with unhealthy outcomes. However, most body image research has focused on females. The current study examined the effect of the extreme and moderate muscular body on subsequent perceptions of positive and negative feeling and body words among college-aged males.
