Abstract

This present study examines the mediating role of alexithymia, self-compassion, and attachment style on the relationship between parental invalidation and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). These constructs were measured using archival data. Multiple regression analyses revealed that maternal invalidation is related to BPD through attachment style and self-compassion.
