Social Factors Influencing Mental Health Service Use Among Asian Americans

This study examined whether social influence in the form of other-perceived mental health status and need increases mental health help-seeking for Asian Americans. Results indicated that Asian Americans are more likely to seek help from mental health professionals when others confirm a mental health issue or promote psychological services.
