Abstract

We hypothesized that essentialism will predict permeability of sexual orientation (SO) groups. Participants (n = 92; 53 male, 37 female, 2 other) were recruited via Amazon Turk to complete a survey measuring their views on SO essentialism and acceptability of changing SO. Our results seem to confirm the hypothesis.
