Abstract

Research suggests that each facet of the Dark Triad is related to physical aggression and hostility. The current study revealed, however, that Machiavellianism was the only Dark Triad trait to strengthen the effect of anger provocation on aggressive behavior. Neither psychopathy, nor narcissism, moderated the relationship between anger and aggression.
