Changing the Intensity of Subjective Experience By Changing the Amount of Electrical Charge Delivered to the Human Cerebral Cortex

In patients with implanted intracranial electrodes, we modified two parameters of electric charge (i.e., amplitude and frequency) during direct stimulation of the cerebral cortex and found that anatomically consistent regions of the brain are sensitive to changes in these parameters.
