Abstract

Participants discussed their feelings of hatred for either an individual or a group and placed in one of three conditions: cathartic, healthy boundaries, or humanizing. Depending on the target of hate (group or individual), different methods seemed to be more effective at attenuating one’s hate after the writing manipulation.
