Examining the Relation between Early Academic Performance and School Attendance with a Self-Efficacy Model

The goal of this study is to explore the relation between elementary school performance and attendance over time from a self-efficacy model and an academic-foundations model. Results of both models indicate good fit suggesting the bidirectional relations between attendance and school performance may involve more complex processes than previously argued.
