Abstract

The present study investigated the relationships between parent and child self-regulation and child behavior problems in a sample of 151 Chinese American immigrant families. Parent self-regulatory capacities (cognitive flexibility, cognitive reappraisal, and effortful control) were uniquely associated with children’s self-regulatory capacities and externalizing problems.
