Abstract

Leadership emergence is a process reliant on team member perceptions, critical for team effectiveness. With the expanding globalization, teams increasingly interact virtually, restricting the type and frequency of interactions. The current study investigates the differential impact of individual behaviors and characteristics for predicting leadership emergence in face-to-face and virtual teams.
