Abstract

Prior research shows that varied practice of motor skills typically leads to more errors during practice, but better
long-term retention and transfer (e.g., Schmidt, 1975; Kerr & Booth, 1978). We examined whether simply observing a given sports skill from another perspective might improve performance in a player’s primary position.
