Abstract

Psychological mindedness (PM) and alexithymia were postulated as potential moderators of Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) response. Baseline PM but not alexithymia correlated with change in symptoms, which may demonstrate that one's abilities to analytically examine thoughts, feelings and behaviors may be more essential component for CBT than identifying and expressing feelings.
