Abstract

Distress tolerance (DT) is often assessed either from self-report or behaviorally from tasks like the Paced Auditory Serial Addition Task (PASAT-C). This research takes a novel approach of assessing engagement by characterizing participant responses during the PASAT-C. Results demonstrate independence of self-report and behavioral measures of DT.
