Abstract

Associations between depression and delinquency in adolescence are well established, but factors accounting for these associations are not. The present study used sibling-comparison analysis to examine prospective links between depression and delinquency during adolescence. Delinquency significantly predicted depression, and depression significantly predicted delinquency in both population and sibling comparison models.
