The Effect of Waiting for Medical Test Results on Health Information Seeking Behavior

Abstract
We examined people’s health information seeking when they had to wait for test results. At shorter delays, longer waiting time was related to higher likelihood to get tested for a hypothetical disease. However, at longer delays, longer waiting time was related to lower likelihood to get tested.
