Abstract
This study found that adult’s reports of positive parenting received from their mothers and fathers in early childhood was associated with current higher reappraisal and lower suppression. Additionally, there was an interaction such that having parents that were divorced/never-married was associated with lower reappraisal only when positive parenting was low.
