Abstract

Our study suggests that the most prominent determinants of anxiety and depression in relation to the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) hexaflex are higher levels present-moment awareness, acceptance of difficult circumstances, committing to value-oriented action, and lower levels of cognitive defusion from one’s negative self-referential thoughts.
