Abstract

A qualitative study was conducted on Latina/o adolescent and parent dyads. The study examines the effects of perceived parent-child communication on adolescents’ academic performance. Axial coding of parent-child communication and students’ grades revealed that parents with the high parent-child communication had adolescents with high academic performance.
