Abstract

Previous cognitive research demonstrates that performing tasks simultaneously reduces performance, such as driving and interacting with technology. We conducted a study to demonstrate the limiting factors of driving and using a touch screen in a simulator, and found cognitive workload effects in addition to visuomanual interference for visual search tasks.
