A Psychometric Assessment of the Index of Sexual Satisfaction

Abstract
The Index of Sexual Satisfaction (ISS) is used as a single-factor measure to assess sexual functioning, but implicates several different domains in its items. Using exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, we refined the ISS to a 6-item single-factor scale that can be used to explore gender differences in sexual satisfaction.
