Do College Students Experience Loss Aversion to Time Spent Eating or with Friends?

Abstract
Loss aversion refers to the fact that people are more motivated to avoid losing something than they are to gain something of equal value. This could apply to changes in eating in obesity, as obese people may resist losing access to favorite foods or friends by changing their eating patterns.
