Age of Smoking Initiation, Subjective Social Status, and Nicotine Dependence in a Multi-Country Sample

This study explores the implications of early smoking initiation in a sample of 17,372 smokers from seven countries in six different continents. Using a multiple linear regression model, it highlights the significance of demographic (gender, country of residence), age of smoking initiation, subjective social status, and nicotine dependence.
