The Effects of Parasympathetic Activity on Visual Attention in Adolescents

The present study examined the relationship between indices of parasympathetic activity and attention flexibility in response to valenced faces in a sample of youth at various risk levels for familial depression. Results suggest that parasympathetic activity supports flexible allocation of attentional resources under valenced conditions.
