Abstract

We examined the impact of the disposition to adopt avoidance strategies and the frequency of self-punishment worrying on the magnitude of anxious thoughts in a sample of 322 young adults. Correlations suggest that both factors sustain anxious thoughts. Both factors predicted 43% of the variance.
