Abstract

EF and stress have been linked to suicidal ideation (SI), however it is unclear if this is driven by depression. Depressed students reported worse executive functioning and stress than non-depressed treatment-seeking students, with no difference between depressed participants with and without SI, suggesting depression may account for putative SI risks.
