The Reading the Mind in the Eyes Scale: An Exploratory Factor Analysis

Abstract
Theory of mind (ToM) refers to the ability to understand others’ mental states. The Reading the Mind in the Eyes scale is commonly used as a measure of ToM. We conducted an exploratory factor analysis of this measure in a diverse young adult sample. A two-factor, 24-item solution emerged.
