You Did Good, so You're Okay: A Look at How Perception of Race and Success Stories Collide

Participants in this study listened to audio recordings of a Caucasian or African American male prisoner’s success story. Participants then completed a questionnaire about the speaker’s characteristics and a measure of support for the speaker’s cause. Results showed significance for positive characteristics and support, rating the African American male higher.
