Abstract

This study investigated sex differences in romantic and duplicitous texting, and corresponding relations with infidelity. Texting and cheating behaviors were similar across sexes, but girls were more likely to be cheated on. Whereas duplicitous texting did not predict cheating among girls, it predicted increased odds of cheating for boys.
