Abstract

Three studies investigating goal predictions within romantic relationships find that male participants who overestimate the femininity of their partner tend to also overestimate their partner’s willingness to make pro-family career sacrifices. Conversely, female participants tend to underestimate their male partners’ willingness to make pro-family sacrifices regardless of their femininity accuracy.
