Pilot Test of a Nonstress Equivalent Control Group to the Trier Social Stress Test

Abstract
Several control groups have been developed for the Trier Social Stress Test (TSST) such as the placebo-TSST, the friendly-TSST. However, these control groups can lead to sympathetic nervous system activation. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to develop a nonstressful (cardiovascular reactivity), equivalent control group for the TSST.
