Abstract
Memory reconsolidation has been targeted to update and persistently attenuate cued fear in some experimental studies. Mixed results suggest more research is needed to explore limiting factors. This study tests the impact of one such factor, the specificity of the retrieval cue, on the reconsolidation update effect.
