Abstract

We compared facial shapes of 5961 politicians across 45 countries. Findings indicate that facial characteristics associated with scoring high on self-interested behavior are more prevalent among politicians advancing right-wing policies and facial characteristics associated with scoring high on group-interested behavior are observed more often among left-leaning politicians.
