The Role of Cultural Displacement on Self-Concept Clarity

Abstract

While determining whether subjects’ self-concept clarity reduces when relocated out of their home country, results found that domestic students’ enter and graduate college with a higher level of self-concept clarity than international students’. Parent-child relationships, cross-cultural orientation, religious importance, and how social engagement affect individuals’ self-concept clarity is also examined.
