Abstract

This study explored factors positively associated with performance in higher education, exploring differential influences of metacognitive self-regulation, goal orientation, academic anxiety, and perceived stress on academic performance for veteran and non-veterans. Veteran students report lower academic anxiety, higher mastery-avoidance and performance-approach goal orientations than their non-veteran peers.
