Different Perspectives on Surrogacy in the Philippines
- Beatriz Pangalangan

Abstract
Surrogacy remains to be underdeveloped because of the many risks involved in the process. Secrecy shrouds surrogacy due to its legal predicaments and its nonconformity to the Catholic belief system that dominates the Philippine society. Implications include demonizing women’s work and the necessity of academic discourse that addresses surrogacy.
