Abstract

This partial replication of literature (Johnson, Huffman, and Jasper (2014) examines the influence of viewing counterstereotypical narrative fiction on Blacks’ race perceptions. Preliminary analyses support hypotheses. Of the sample (N=66), participants in the experimental conditions were significantly emotionally impacted by White’s denouncements of racist ideology. Data collection is ongoing.
