Abstract
Using longitudinal data, this study examined the effects of parenting stress and negative parenting (inconsistent discipline, poor monitoring, and corporal punishment) on child ADHD symptoms in early adolescence. A multiple mediation model found that corporal punishment significantly mediated the relationship between parental stress and ADHD symptom severity.
