The Effect of Leadership Style on Team Performance: A Meta-Analysis

Abstract

This meta-analysis investigated the role of leadership style on team performance. Transformational leadership was found to be the only measure of leadership that was significantly and positively related to team performance. In addition, results investigating the facet-level of transformational leadership revealed that only intellectual stimulation was related to team performance.
