Abstract
Depression is associated with increased risk-taking attitudes. The present study examined whether this relationship holds true for women in the perinatal period. Increased perinatal depressive symptomology was related to increased likelihood that expectant mothers would endorse risky attitudes related to ethical and health/safety behaviors. Further perinatal risk-taking research is needed.
