Emotion Regulation, Physical Affection, and Depression: Does My Denomination Matter?

Both physical affection in childhood and religious upbringing impact regulatory capacity and strategies in adulthood. Using survey data, we found religious denominational differences in how emotion regulation (using touch and other strategies) mediates the relation between physical affection in childhood and depressive symptoms.
