DRE is the ability of interview structure and mnemonics to facilitate honest responding by making deception difficult. DRE was used in an ecologically valid setting with accounts of alleged mistreatment by authoritative figures. Honest statements were more detailed, with a classification accuracy of 93.6% as a result of proper interviewing.
