Abstract

We investigated whether authoritative parenting acted as a protective factor by moderating the negative relationship between adversity and executive function amongst preschool age children. Adversity was negatively correlated to attention/inhibition. Authoritative parenting did not moderate this relationship, but there was a main effect trend on attention.
