Abstract

We examined the effects of personality traits (HEXACO) on desire for genetic testing and possible factors that may explain such relationships. Greater emotionality related to greater desire for genetic testing for cancer; greater health anxiety and attributing healthiness to powerful others (medical professionals and family) appeared to explain this relationship.
