Abstract

This replication study investigated the validity of experimental manipulations used in prior research examining the effects of testimony concerning psychopathy on mock jury decision-making. Jurors who perceived a defendant as more psychopathic did judge him more harshly, but manipulation checks indicated significant confusion regarding stimulus materials in certain experimental conditions.
