Gender Equality, Money and Marriage Around the World.

Global marriage trends are examined in relation to gender equality and current economic and sociocultural conditions. The systematic presentation of the contexts and correlates of marriage in 108 countries across six continents indicates that seemingly individual and intimate decisions about marriage are strongly influenced by macrolevel social and economic conditions.
